Your tasks
Role Description The Freelance Video Editor is responsible for editing video content that aligns with client brand identities and campaign goals. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, cutting and sequencing clips, adding transitions and effects, and synchronizing audio to create cohesive and engaging videos. The role involves color grading, basic motion graphics integration, and collaborating with the creative team to refine visual concepts and storytelling approaches. The Video Editor will manage multiple projects, follow creative briefs, meet tight production timelines, and ensure deliverables are optimized for various digital platforms.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing for digital and social media content.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to maintain consistent visual tone and quality.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance storytelling and brand recognition.
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and graphic tools (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop) is beneficial.
- Strong sense of visual storytelling, attention to detail, and ability to interpret creative briefs effectively.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in Ibadan and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in agency, production studio, or freelance video work, and a portfolio showcasing relevant projects is highly beneficial.
