Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Acute Inpatient Services

Location: Crewe Contract: Temporary Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible, weekend work may be required)

Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic team in Crewe. This role involves working within an acute inpatient setting , supporting patients through their recovery journey and ensuring safe, timely discharges.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions within an acute inpatient environment.

Support discharge planning and ensure effective pathways for patient transitions.

Contribute to admission avoidance strategies , working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.

Deliver patient-centered care, adapting to individual needs and goals.

Participate in weekend and extended hours (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM), subject to discussion.

Requirements:

HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

Proven experience in acute inpatient care .

Strong understanding of discharge pathways and admission avoidance.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
