Senior Software Engineer, Backend (ML Feature Platform)

Accountabilities: Design, build, and enhance scalable backend services that support machine learning feature management, storage, and serving.

Own the delivery of key technical initiatives, leading projects from design through implementation while navigating ambiguity and balancing technical trade-offs.

Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business objectives.

Improve the reliability, scalability, and availability of critical platform components by implementing monitoring, operational best practices, and performance optimizations.

Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, platform capabilities, and system architecture while driving continuous technical innovation.

Promote engineering excellence through high-quality code reviews, technical documentation, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Mentor fellow engineers by providing technical guidance, constructive feedback, and leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.

Participate in on-call rotations and operational support to maintain platform health and ensure reliable service delivery.

Requirements

4+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend systems using languages such as Python or Kotlin.

Strong expertise building distributed systems with technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, MySQL, or comparable cloud-native infrastructure.

Experience designing extensible architectures and delivering complex technical solutions in large-scale production environments.

Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while safely implementing significant changes within large codebases.

Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, system reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to balance technical requirements, product priorities, and business objectives.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions.
