PROJECT ENGINEER
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Civil Construction Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and supervise construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to approved drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily construction activities at project sites to ensure smooth operations and timely completion
- Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules and quality
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and method statements to verify accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to facilitate project execution
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements, including Singapore’s construction regulations and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards
- Prepare detailed project schedules, progress reports, site records, and technical documentation to track and communicate project status
- Identify site issues promptly and coordinate timely solutions to prevent project delays
- Monitor project costs, variations, and material usage to control budget and resource allocation
- Conduct site inspections and enforce quality control measures to maintain construction standards
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience in METAL ROOFING works projects
- Ability to read and interpret roofing drawings and technical specifications
- Knowledge of roofing works, site coordination, and project management practices
- Familiarity with project scheduling, progress reporting, and quality control procedures
- Proficient communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities concurrently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage
- Experience in the Singapore construction industry is an advantage
