Your tasks
About The Role We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our state-of-the-art workshop. In this role, you will be more than an inspector-you will be an integral guardian of safety, roadworthiness, and driving dynamics for an exciting lineup of modern vehicles.
- MOT Testing: Conduct rigorous Class 4 MOT inspections in full compliance with DVSA standards.
- Diagnostics & Repair: Accurately identify mechanical and electrical faults, working alongside our Service Advisors to recommend transparent, necessary repairs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure every vehicle leaving our bays meets the exacting performance and safety standards of the CUPRA brand.
- Modern Workshop Systems: Utilize the latest diagnostic equipment, digital inspection platforms, and DVSA portals to log findings and certify work efficiently.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain a clean, organized bay and stay current with brand service bulletins and evolving EV/hybrid technologies.
Requirements
Candidate Profile
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent city & guilds qualification).
- MOT Accreditation: Valid, active DVSA Class 4 MOT Tester licence is strongly preferred (support available for the right candidate to recertify/train).
- Driving Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Technical Standards: A meticulous eye for detail, methodical fault-finding skills, and an uncompromising approach to vehicle safety.
- Work Ethic: A collaborative mindset, pride in workshop presentation, and effective communication with colleagues across the dealership.
What we offer

- Competitive Pay: £17.00 per hour (equating to £35,360+ per annum based on a 40-hour week) alongside a rewarding performance-related bonus scheme.

- Genuine Work-Life Balance: Monday to Friday working hours between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. While 40 hours per week is standard, we offer flexible arrangements down to 30 hours per week to accommodate personal commitments.
