HVAC Technician

Cen Global Services Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The successful candidate will support the delivery of quality HVAC services and ensure efficient equipment performance across assigned client sites. The role also requires timely completion of maintenance assignments, quality service delivery, and compliance with established technical and safety standards across client locations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air conditioning systems.

Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related faults and implement appropriate corrective measures.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.

Conduct refrigerant checks, leak detection, system pressure checks, and performance testing.

Inspect air conditioning units, identify defective components, and recommend or carry out necessary repairs and replacements.

Respond to client complaints, equipment breakdowns, callback requests, and scheduled maintenance assignments.

Execute all assigned tasks in accordance with approved Job Orders, technical specifications, and established company procedures.

Test air conditioning systems after installation, servicing, or repairs to verify proper operation and cooling performance.

Prepare and submit accurate job reports detailing work performed, faults identified, materials used, and recommendations for further action.

Ensure proper use, handling, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and testing instruments.

Comply with applicable health, safety, environmental, and client site requirements during all technical assignments.

Complete assigned jobs within agreed timelines while maintaining service quality and minimising recurring faults.

Communicate job progress and technical findings to the appropriate supervisor and escalate complex issues when necessary.

Maintain professional conduct and deliver reliable technical services that promote client satisfaction.

Requirements Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of 2 years' practical experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

SSCE, OND, Technical Certificate, or Trade Test qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC, or a related technical field.

Demonstrable hands-on experience servicing and repairing split and window air conditioning systems.

Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related faults and carry out appropriate repairs.

Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, refrigerant handling, leak detection, and air conditioning performance testing.

Ability to operate and maintain relevant air conditioning tools, gauges, and testing instruments.

Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other technicians.

Ability to prepare accurate technical job reports and follow established work procedures.

Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Experience with VRF/VRV systems, commercial air conditioning systems, and chillers is an added advantage.

Relevant technical certifications and Trade Test qualifications are an added advantage.

<
