About Breedon Group:

Breedon Group plc is a leading vertically integrated construction materials group in Great Britain, Ireland, and the USA. We're dedicated to providing high-quality materials and services for the construction industry, with a commitment to safety, sustainability, and innovation. Joining Breedon means becoming part of a team that values excellence and is committed to making a positive impact.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, GB Cement, the Operations Manager will lead the safe, efficient and compliant operation of our cement receipt, import, storage and transfer activities across the logistics network, ensuring reliable onward distribution by road.

A highly visible leadership role, you’ll drive performance across our rail depots and import terminals, putting safety first while balancing service, cost and efficiency. You’ll champion high standards, continuous improvement and operational resilience.

Our cement operations span from the Central Belt of Scotland through to the South of England and are divided into two regions, North and South. The quality of the individual is more important than your home location. Based on your location you will take responsibility for either the four locations in the North or the four locations in the South region, providing leadership across the operations, teams and locations within your area.

The role reports into our Central logistics function at the cement works at Hope, Derbyshire. Regular travel across your region, together with wider national travel when required, will form an important part of the role. A flexible approach to working location is therefore essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a significant part of our GB Cement logistics network, while contributing to the development and success of our wider national operation.
