Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Tasks:
- Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation .
- Operate heavy equipment.
- Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements .
- Use International Organization for Standardization (ISO) pattern joystick controls.
- Use Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) controls pattern.
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
- Measure distance, volume, length and weight.
- Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS).
- Complete onboard and other logs.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
- Secure special attachments to equipment.
- Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
- Perform minor repairs to equipment.

- Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
