Financial Accountant Staff / Certification Required
Position: Financial Accountant (Certification Required) Job Responsibilities
- Daily Accounting Operations
- Collect and organize business documents: freight bills, statements of account, bills of lading (B/L), supplier invoices, bank statements, foreign exchange slips, and WHT (Withholding Tax) certificates.
- Perform data entry; distinguish between revenue and costs for self-operated business versus pass-through (agency) payments; calculate gross profit per shipment/job by business line (sea freight, trucking, customs clearance, warehousing).
- Reconcile accounts receivable and payable; follow up on customer collections and review supplier payments; perform month-end bank reconciliations and voucher filing/archiving.
- Handle multi-currency accounting; adjust for month-end foreign exchange gains/losses; reconcile internal intercompany accounts (liaising with the domestic parent company).
- Tax Filing (Local Thai Statutory Compliance)
- Timely filing of PP.30 (VAT), WHT (PND3/PND53), PND1, SSO, PND51, PND50, etc.
- Maintain the fixed asset ledger for trucking vehicles; calculate depreciation, insurance, and maintenance costs.
- Organize foreign exchange documentation and retain business contracts and bills of lading to prepare for potential audits by the Thai Revenue Department.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and business profit statements; provide internal management data.
- Other: Expense review, review of financial terms in contracts, and ledger maintenance.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Thai TFRS accounting standards; proficient in the full filing process for Thai VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax, and Social Security (SSO).
- Experience in freight forwarding/logistics accounting is preferred; understanding of China-Thailand cross-border business and zero-rated tax policies for sea freight and trucking.
- Proficient in financial software; able to read Thai tax forms; sufficient English proficiency to understand bills of lading and foreign trade documents.
- Meticulous and rigorous; familiar with segregating pass-through (agency) accounts from operational accounts; understanding of Thai tax audit requirements.
- Competent in account reconciliation and multi-currency accounting.
