Nursing Assistant [WCAN]

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene.
• Provide diaper changing and other continence care when required.
• Help residents move around and transfer safely between locations.
• Check and record basic vital signs as instructed.
• Assist nurses with basic nursing care and planned care activities.
• Support nurses during medical emergencies when required.
• Accompany residents to medical appointments and other activities.
• Assist healthcare professionals during clinical consultations.
• Encourage residents to participate in daily and recreational activities.
• Maintain residents' dignity, safety and comfort at all times.
• Participate in workplace audits and quality improvement activities.
