Senior Programmer Analyst

Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to join our IT team. The position is not remote and will be required to report daily to the Corporate Headquarters in Chesterton, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications and database systems

Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions

Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing applications and systems

Provide technical support and training to end users

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system functionality and performance

Ensure data integrity, reliability, and system security

Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate with both technical and business teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of experience in application development and systems analysis

Strong experience with SQL Server, database design, and query optimization

Experience with modern Windows-based and web-based application development such as C#, .NET, and Python.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
