CASHIER

1. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash registers, and scanners to process cash, credit, debit, and digital payments.
2. Greet shoppers, answer product-related questions, and help resolve customer complaints or merchandise returns.
3. Count the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts to ensure amounts are balanced, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
4. Apply coupons, verify IDs for age-restricted products (e.g., alcohol or tobacco), and adhere to store security protocols.
5. Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and assist with stocking items or bagging purchases when needed.

Qualifications/Requirements: Ability to quickly and accurately calculate change and process monetary transactions. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively assist guests and collaborate with other store team members. High accuracy in handling funds and verifying the correct pricing of scanned items. Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
