SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND FUELS BRANCH of MCRD ERR PI SC.
Major duties
- You will resolve informal complaints and grievances, and initiate commendation and disciplinary actions as warranted.
- You will manage, direct, and supervise the tracking of all hazardous substances/chemicals received, used, and disposed of aboard the installation utilizing automated DoD software programs.
- You will research and submit usage data to DLA-Energy used to determine the Peacetime Operating Stock and Inventory Management Plan for the installation.
- You will investigate cause, impact, and disposition of spills and reports to higher headquarters.
- You will oversee excess and aging hazardous materials with the intent of reclamation, reuse and reissue of materials before they enter the Hazardous waste stream.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Planning, organizing, managing, and directing supply, hazardous materials (HAZMAT), and fuel operations in compliance with applicable rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ; 2) Forecasting requirements and overseeing the procurement, receipt, inventory management, testing, accountability, and distribution of fuel and related supplies; 3) Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and controls governing supply, HAZMAT, and fuel operations; 4) Coordinating with internal and external organizations to ensure continuous and uninterrupted logistical support; and 5) Setting priorities, assigning work, evaluating performance, and administering employee training requirements.
