Remedial Measures Specialist

We work the national and international partners to promote and ensure public safety for Canadians during the transportation of dangerous goods. When a dangerous goods transportation incident occurs, we oversee the emergency response measures taken, to ensure they are done in a timely, safe, appropriate, and coordinated manner.

You will receive frequent technical training and regularly interact with industry responders. Duties include:

• reviewing Emergency Response Assistance Plans (ERAPs)
• assessing response capabilities of responders
• participating in public outreach and engagement events
• attending and developing exercises
