Project Accountant - Remote work

The Project Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions related to construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and processing preliminary lien notices. This position requires close collaboration with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Salary Level/Range: $16,000 - $18,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial management and reporting
• Processing and tracking project-related invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
• Preliminary notices and lien management
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Contract support and regulatory compliance
• Internal coordination and communication

Skills and Qualifications:

• Solid knowledge of construction accounting principles and job costing.
• Knowledge of preliminary lien notices.
• Proficiency in Acumatica accounting software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and financial reporting).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in construction accounting or a similar role.
• Familiarity with progress billings and tracking lien waivers is a plus.
