Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably within a high-end hotel, villa, or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle, including Profit & Loss (P&L) preparation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), journal entries, and basic accounting principles.
- Proficient in transaction recording, General Ledger (GL) management, account classification, period-end closing, and ensuring accurate and complete supporting documentation.
- Strong understanding of AP and invoice verification, including PR, PO, Receiving Reports, liability recording, and compliance with company accounting procedures.
- Experienced in AR reconciliation, including bank transfers, AR Ledger, Guest Ledger, credit card transactions, and other payment channels.
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation, petty cash management, revenue recording, inventory usage, and cash position monitoring.
- Familiar with hospitality accounting processes, including room rate classification and revenue reconciliation (e.g., RO/RO-LS).
- Proficient in relevant accounting software and tools, including Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, Microsoft Word/Google Docs, MYOB, Accurate, VHP, POS systems, and other related applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibility:
- Manage the full accounting cycle, ensure accurate transaction recording, maintain General Ledger (GL) accounts, and assist in preparing monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and financial reports.
- Review invoices and supporting documents, including PR, PO, and Receiving Reports, ensuring liabilities are accurately recorded in the correct accounts and accounting periods.
- Perform AR reconciliations covering bank transfers, AR Ledger, Guest Ledger, credit card transactions, and other payment channels. Ensure room rates and revenue are properly classified and recorded.
- Reconcile bank statements with internal accounting records, monitor company bank balances and cash positions, and manage the property's petty cash administration.
- Monitor inventory usage and ensure expenses or costs are properly classified, recorded, and allocated to the appropriate accounting period and accounts.
- Prepare invoices, bank statements, ledgers, transaction records, and other supporting documents required by auditors and tax consultants, and provide clarification on requested accounting information.
- Monitor and verify guest payments to ensure all funds are deposited into the company's official bank accounts or authorized payment channels.
- Ensure transactions, AP/AR, bank, cash, revenue, inventory, and journal entries are complete, accurate, properly documented, and in accordance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Coordinate with relevant departments and stakeholders regarding accounting records, payment requirements, supporting documents, and financial information to ensure smooth daily operations.
