Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Key responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex cardiothoracic conditions requiring surgical intervention.

Plan and perform a variety of cardiothoracic surgeries, including coronary artery bypass surgery, valve repair/replacement, and thoracic procedures.

Utilize minimally invasive and innovative surgical techniques to optimize patient outcomes.

Provide expert consultation and collaborate effectively with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.

Oversee preoperative and postoperative care to ensure safe and effective recovery.

Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to UAE healthcare regulations and standards.

Participate in clinical research and continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

Completion of General Surgery residency and Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship.

Board certification or recognized equivalent in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, preferably with experience in the Middle East or UAE healthcare sector.

Valid medical license allowing practice in the UAE.

Excellent surgical skills, including proficiency in minimally invasive cardiothoracic procedures.

Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities under pressure.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills tailored to diverse patient populations.

Commitment to best practices, patient safety, and continuous education.

Willingness to relocate and immediate availability is preferred.
