Role Description The Housekeeper role is a part-time, on-site position based in Accra. Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable home environment, including routine cleaning of living areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Daily tasks may include sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing dishes, laundry, ironing, and changing linens, as well as managing household supplies and reporting any issues to the family or coordinator. The role may also involve basic support for childcare or elderly care, such as tidying play areas, assisting with light meal preparation, or helping maintain a safe environment. Housekeepers are expected to follow household guidelines, respect family privacy, and communicate clearly with clients and supervisors.

Qualifications

Strong housekeeping skills, including Laundry and general Organization Skills for managing household tasks efficiently. Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with families and respond to their needs. Ability and willingness to participate in Training to learn and follow Stay Out Help’s standards, procedures, and safety practices. Prior experience in housekeeping, home support, or related roles is highly beneficial. Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently in client homes. Capacity to perform physically active tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Respectful attitude toward children, older adults, and diverse family structures and cultures.
