Maternity Cover (Rivervale) Infant Educator (EL)
Tiny hands, big milestones; and you'll be right there for every one of them.
As an Infant/Toddler Educator at Star Learners, you'll create a nurturing, secure environment for children aged 0-3 years, guiding their earliest discoveries through play, exploration and gentle routines. You'll work in a close-knit community that values your voice and supports your growth, as you help our littlest ones take their confident first steps in learning and life.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement caregiving routines and lesson plans aligned with the Early Years Development Framework
- Create age-appropriate materials and experiences that spark curiosity and build confidence
- Observe, document and reflect on children's growth to guide your teaching
- Uphold high standards of health, safety and hygiene in line with Star Learners' SOPs
- Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families; you'll be part teacher, part cheerleader and part storyteller in their journey
- Partner with families and the community to create meaningful connections beyond the classroom
Requirements
- WSQ Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC), Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) or Certificate in Infant Care Practice (CICP)
- ECDA-certified as an EY1/ EY2 teacher
- IT-savvy and comfortable using digital tools
