SEMH Teaching Assistant

Rochdale Location: Rochdale Pay: £110 per day Contract: Full-time, temporary ongoing Start Date: September We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Rochdale , supporting pupils with a range of SEN, SEMH and behavioural needs . The Role Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils. Support students with SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs. Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils. Help pupils manage emotions, behaviour and engagement in learning. Work closely with teachers and the wider support team. Encourage pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH needs . Experience within a PRU, alternative provision, SEN school or challenging mainstream setting is desirable. Confident managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional regulation. Patient, resilient and approachable. A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential. Interested?
