Assistant Operations Executive (Seafreight)
About the role Speedmark Singapore is seeking an Assistant Operations Executive (Seafreight) to join our dynamic operations team. This is a full-time position based in the Tai Seng North-East Region. In this role, you will provide essential operational support to our seafreight division, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of cargo through our supply chain. You will be instrumental in coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and liaising with customers and service providers to maintain our high standards of service delivery in the import/export and customs sector. Key responsibilities Perform import break-bulk and document sorting upon receipt from customers, agents, and overseas offices
Enter shipment details accurately into the company’s in-house system
Prepare notice of arrivals, freight invoices, cash sales invoices, and payment vouchers
Send notice of arrivals to consignees or their appointed agents
Prepare shipping documents for collection of Delivery Orders from shipping lines and co-loaders
Release Delivery Orders to consignees’ appointed agents
Follow up with origin stations, consignees, or appointed agents for shipments that remain uncleared after 3 days
Perform CCP submission via TradeNet
Handle emails and correspondence relating to import operations matters
Prepare Delivery Orders and related documents for handover to contractors for delivery to customers
Sort and distribute incoming documents to the relevant departments
Arrange cheque and cash sales payments to the Accounts Department
Update GST weekly reports
Maintain proper filing of shipping documents
Carry out other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve workflow and operational efficiency
What we're looking for Basic knowledge of seafreight operations, customs procedures and import/export regulations
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Previous experience in shipping, logistics or customs operations
