IB Year 8 & 9 Mathematics Tutor
We are looking for an experienced Mathematics Tutor to provide 1-to-1 tuition for students in Year 8 and Year 9 at Dover Court International School (DCIS), Singapore .
The tutor should be familiar with the British Curriculum and able to support students with their current school curriculum while building a strong foundation for IGCSE Mathematics .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1-to-1 Mathematics tuition for Year 8 and Year 9 students
- Follow and complement the DCIS Mathematics curriculum
- Review schoolwork, assignments and assessment results
- Identify learning gaps and strengthen core concepts
- Develop mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Prepare students for school assessments and future IGCSE Mathematics
- Provide regular feedback on student progress
Requirements
- Strong academic background in Mathematics, Engineering, Science or related field
- Experience teaching/tutoring secondary school Mathematics
- Familiarity with British Curriculum / KS3 / IGCSE
- IGCSE Mathematics teaching experience preferred
- International school teaching/tutoring experience is an advantage
- Able to teach confidently in English
- Patient, responsible and able to explain concepts clearly
Preferred
Current/former international school teachers, PGCE/QTS-qualified teachers, or experienced tutors who have taught students from DCIS or other British international schools in Singapore .
Arrangement
- Students: Year 8 & Year 9
- Location: Singapore, face-to-face preferred
- Format: 1-to-1 tuition
- Frequency: 1–2 lessons per week
- Start: ASAP
- Commitment: Long-term preferred
