Office & Finance Manager - Maternity Cover Salary up to £45,000 (DOE)
Office based, Nottingham - NG2 11-Month Fixed Term Contract

SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Office & Finance Manager to join a well-established business based in Nottingham on an approximately 11-month maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping and finance function whilst also providing wider support across payroll, HR, projects and general office management. Open to candidates who are immediately available and on notice.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the sole bookkeeper for the business
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
- Managing payment runs and employee expenses
- Credit control and debt chasing
- Producing reports covering sales, cash flow and project profitability
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation
- Supporting weekly payroll processes and employee queries
- Assisting with project costing and checking supplier costs
- Preparing and chasing quotations
- Supporting with customer queries
- Managing starters, HR paperwork, holidays and absence records
- Assisting with recruitment and general HR administration
- Supporting Health & Safety administration and training
- General office management and administrative support to the Director
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with previous bookkeeping/finance experience who is comfortable taking ownership of a varied workload.
Essential experience includes:
- Previous bookkeeping experience
- Recent experience using Sage 50 Accounts
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to confidently manage multiple priorities
