Flow Loop Technician (Contract/ Perm)

A Flow Loop technician handles all technical duties for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Flow Loop. They perform tests, measurements, instrument control, and process controls, and diagnose issues in systems, processes, and test facility maintenance.

The flow loop is an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory where it is possible to flow gas, oil and water at different pressure and different flow rates. It is a high accuracy lab where the oilfield equipment is tested. This test facility is acritical asset for the multiphase technology centre.

• Operate the flow loop for manufacturing and engineering tests.
• Conduct scheduled testing and to maintain the test results.
• Perform regular scheduled maintenance of the flow loop.
• Maintain Flow Loop tools and equipment.
• Skilled with test facility operations, understanding on SCADA system, Instrumentation, and mechanical works.
• Perform basic electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Report to Flow Loop Lead on the daily task and progress.
• Maintaining 5S of the facility and perform housekeeping of tools.
• Perform installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing components as required.
• Perform assembly of Device Under Test (DUT)according to the test requirements.
• Monitor the functioning of all equipment and report any problems or substandard condition to the Lead.
• Follow preventive maintenance and operation procedures to avoid any breakdowns and failures.
• Ability to understand the test set-up and perform/conduct test on daily basis.
• Ability to understand, flow control, flowmeters, control valves and manual valves.
• To keep track and coordinate the calibration activities.
• Coordinates with 3rd parties for flow loop maintenance activities.
• Ability to brief on the test progress to different stakeholders or test requestors.
• Ability to track and diagnosis the issue on a system level.
• To maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with the company's rules and policies.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s in electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 5years of experience in industrial testing facilities, instrumentation, maintenance, or process operations.
• Basic knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, instrumentation, control valves, flow meters, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
• Familiarity with calibration activities, preventive maintenance, and safe work practices.
• Goodcommunication skills and ability to work with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Willingness to support shift operations and hands-on testing activities
