Senior Lead Engineer (Civil / Structural)

Our client has been operating in Malaysia for over 25 years delivering some of the most advanced manufacturing plants and facilities. As a leader in the engineering and construction of high-tech facilities, our client offers a complete range of services from consulting to the managing of turnkey solutions, delivering to the highest quality and safety standards. In addition, they have a dedicated in-house capability for mechanical, electrical, and process engineering works including general fabrication, installation, and maintenance - to serve work packages on projects for other clients. They are currently looking for a Senior Lead Engineer (Civil / Structural) to join them on a project in Singapore.

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Lead Civil & Structural engineering input across concept, design development, and delivery for advanced technology projects, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
• Develop technically robust, cost-efficient design solutions and drive value engineering opportunities aligned with project and client objectives.
• Support business development activities, including technical input to bids, client engagement, and proposal strategies.
• Oversee the preparation and quality of technical submissions for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, ensuring full evaluation of scope, cost, and risk.
• Provide expert CSA guidance on design reviews, constructability, and integration across multidisciplinary teams (MEP, process, and others).
• Attend client and project meetings to present design solutions, clarify technical approaches, and capture project requirements.
• Support estimating teams by developing cost models, standardised design packages, and maintaining traceable cost and scope assumptions.
• Maintain and improve standard CSA design solutions, benchmarks, and cost KPIs based on lessons learned and project feedback.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance technical capability and project delivery efficiency.
• Support Off-Site Manufacturing strategies and integrate them into early-stage design development where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with safety-in-design principles, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards across all design deliverables.

You Will Need:

• Minimum 8 years’ of Design and Construction experience in a high-tech industry or other multiple discipline orientated construction business.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leading related position of a fast-track project
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience working overseas, ideally in Singapore / Malaysia.
• Holds a degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• The ideal candidate will be Singaporean / hold Singaporean Permanent Residency.
