Job Description

You'll lead planning cycles, drive forecasting accuracy, and design reporting that highlights trends, drivers, and actions. You'll partner with business leaders to shape decisions, streamline operations, and ensure policy adherence. Your insights will improve productivity, margin, and resource allocation across the portfolio.

What you'll bring

You have working experience in controlling or financial analysis and can manage defined workstreams and support business partnering with limited oversight.

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, with the ability to conduct performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data visualisation to prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial compliance requirements, and internal controls.
  • Ability to collect and interpret financial data within the SAP Data and Analytics Ecosystem to identify trends and patterns.
  • Comfort applying AI-assisted approaches — including context engineering and agentic AI — to improve the quality and efficiency of financial outputs.
  • Minimum 4-8 years of experience.

We also look for people who build trust naturally, communicate with clarity, keep the customer at the centre of what they do, and bring emotional intelligence and genuine problem-solving ability to the challenges they face.

In addition to the skills and experience specific to this role, all positions at SAP require candidates who are comfortable using AI tools — including agentic AI — in their day-to-day work, from crafting effective inputs and automating routine tasks, to evaluating AI-generated outputs for quality and driving adoption of AI practices within their teams.

What you'll build

You'll work closely with business units to deliver financial insights and improve processes across the Finance function.

  • Coordinate and perform planning activities — including forecasting and budgeting — to support strategic business decisions.
  • Analyse, streamline, and improve financial operations to drive process improvement.
  • Collect and organise financial data, interpret results, and identify trends to provide performance insights.
  • Prepare data visualisations and financial reports for business stakeholders.
  • Support governance and compliance activities to ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and internal controls.
  • Apply AI-assisted automation to routine controlling tasks to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Where you belong

You'll join the Finance team in Bengaluru, owning defined controlling and analysis workstreams while developing knowledge of SAP's financial frameworks and performance metrics. The team values analytical precision, data integrity, and a proactive approach to surfacing insights. You'll build depth in financial planning and analysis, with exposure to business intelligence, data visualisation, and process improvement across SAP's Finance function.
