Medical Laboratory Technologist (Cytogenetics)

Responsibilities Perform specimen processing, cell culture, harvesting, slide preparation, chromosome banding and staining for cytogenetic investigations. Conduct karyotyping and chromosome analysis to identify numerical and structural chromosomal abnormalities. Perform FISH testing, including probe preparation, hybridisation, fluorescence microscopy and signal interpretation. Maintain accurate documentation, QC records and laboratory results in accordance with SOPs and quality standards. Operate, maintain and troubleshoot cytogenetics equipment, laboratory instruments and relevant LIS/LIMS systems. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality assurance, accreditation requirements and effective communication with pathologists and clinical teams. Requirement Degree in Medical Technology or related courses Able to commit to Monday to Friday office hours Min 3 years or relevant experience
