Interim Operations Lead - Service Mobilisation & Operational Resilience

Salary : £550 to £600 per day via umbrella Location : Yorkshire (Hybrid working available) Job Type : Full-time, Interim

We are seeking an experienced Interim Operations Lead to provide strategic leadership during the mobilisation and delivery of a large-scale franchised service operation. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing operational readiness, safety, environmental management, workforce competence, and business resilience arrangements to support the successful launch and ongoing delivery of contracted services.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Operational Delivery : Design and implement operational control, governance, and escalation arrangements. Assure operational readiness across service providers, operational control functions, facilities, assets, and workforce.
  • Safety & Compliance : Provide strategic leadership for operational safety and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Environmental Management : Oversee the development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems across service delivery partners.
  • Business Continuity & Incident Management : Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans and Business Impact Assessments. Ensure organisational resilience to key operational risks.
  • Training & Competence : Assure training, competence, and accreditation arrangements during mobilisation and ongoing operations.
  • Workforce Transition, Employee Relations & Mobilisation : Lead workforce data collection, validation, and due diligence activities to support mobilisation and service transition programmes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in complex service mobilisation, operational assurance, safety, resilience, and organisational change.
  • Experience leading large-scale operational mobilisation, transformation, or transition programmes.
  • Strong knowledge in safety, compliance, risk management, and assurance within regulated environments.
  • Skilled in business continuity, incident management, and organisational resilience.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across partner organisations, regulators, and emergency services.
  • Experience with workforce transition, organisational change, and employee consultation programmes.
