Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical environment alongside neurosurgeons, radiologists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals, supported by advanced diagnostic facilities including neuroimaging, neurophysiology, and modern treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions including stroke, epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, neuropathies, neurodegenerative diseases, and other neurological disorders.
Perform comprehensive neurological assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based medical management.
Interpret neurological investigations including MRI, CT scans, EEG, EMG/NCS, and other diagnostic assessments within the scope of practice.
Manage acute neurological presentations, provide appropriate referrals, and coordinate long-term care for chronic neurological conditions.
Collaborate with neurosurgery, radiology, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and other specialties to ensure comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care.
Provide patient counselling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication safety, lifestyle modifications, and long-term disease management.
Maintain compliance with clinical documentation standards, patient safety protocols, infection prevention measures, and international quality and clinical governance guidelines.
Requirements
