Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical environment alongside surgeons, hepatologists, oncologists, radiologists, dietitians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals, supported by advanced diagnostic facilities, endoscopy services, and modern treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and digestive disorders including inflammatory bowel disease, acid reflux, liver-related conditions, gastrointestinal infections, and functional bowel disorders.
Perform and interpret gastroenterology procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and other diagnostic or therapeutic procedures within the approved scope of practice.
Manage patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions through evidence-based treatment plans, medication management, and long-term follow-up.
Evaluate and manage hepatobiliary disorders, nutritional concerns, and gastrointestinal complications in collaboration with relevant specialties.
Collaborate with colorectal surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, nutrition, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Provide patient counselling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and disease management.
Maintain compliance with clinical documentation, infection prevention, patient safety standards, quality improvement initiatives, and international healthcare guidelines.
Requirements

UK CCT / MRCP with Gastroenterology Training
European Board / National Specialist Certification in Gastroenterology
