GCSE English & Maths Tutors - DT7 Area

Make a Real Difference to Young People in Your Local Area We're looking for GCSE English and Maths Tutors to support children and young people in the DT7 area through personalised 1:1 tuition. Working on behalf of Local Authorities , you'll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision. Many of the students we support are working towards their GCSEs and need additional support to build confidence, close gaps in learning, and achieve positive outcomes. Due to increasing demand in the area, we are looking for tutors who can start as soon as possible. Location: DT7 Area Subjects: GCSE English & Maths Hours: Flexible Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting , including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles Strong knowledge of GCSE English and/or Maths Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable Strong communication and relationship-building skills Patient, adaptable, and positive approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within the DT7 area

Who You'll Support You'll work with learners who may have: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs ADHD Anxiety and school avoidance EHCPs and additional educational needs Each learner receives an individual programme of support, designed to help them develop confidence, improve attainment, and re-engage with education.
