Experienced Class 1 Dump Truck Driver ? Greater Vernon

Platinum Edge Earthworks Ltd. is looking for an experienced Class 1 dump truck driver.

Wage: $30?$36/hour depending on experience and qualifications.The higher end of the wage range is intended for drivers who are also experienced excavator operators and are capable of loading their own truck when required.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who is confident operating a tandem dump truck and comfortable pulling a pup trailer.

Position includes:

• Hauling aggregates and materials from local quarries
• Operating tandem dump truck and pup
• Backing into and accessing tight residential and construction sites
• Loading and hauling material from job sites
• Daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Taking care of and keeping the truck clean
• Working independently and alongside excavation crews
• Occasionally operating an excavator to load your own truck, if qualified

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driver?s licence
• Clean driver?s abstract
• Previous dump truck experience
• Experience with truck and pup preferred
• Confident backing and maneuvering in tight areas
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently
• Excavator operating experience is a strong asset

Hours: Approximately 20?40 hours per week depending on workload. Full-time hours are not guaranteed and weekly hours may fluctuate.

Location: Greater Vernon / North Okanagan
