DAIRY FARM ASSISTANTS
Pat & Anne Kelleher are seeking two reliable Dairy Farm Assistants for their dairy farm at Roovesmore, Coachford, Co. Cork. These are permanent full-time positions. The gross basic salary is €36,605 per annum for 39 hours per week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with milking and daily dairy routines.
- Feed, bed and provide daily care for livestock.
- Clean the milking parlour, equipment and work areas and maintain high hygiene standards.
- Monitor animal health and report any concerns.
- Assist during calving and with general livestock husbandry.
- Carry out general farm maintenance and yard duties as required.
- Follow all farm health and safety procedures and farm policies.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Minimum 1 year of practical dairy farm or livestock experience.
- Ability to carry out physical farm work in outdoor conditions.
- Good timekeeping, reliability and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate sufficiently in English for workplace safety.
- No formal qualification is required. Training will be provided on farm-specific systems and procedures.
