Quality Assurance Specialist

Pack Tech, a packaging company founded in Denmark in 1946, is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Quality team at our headquarters in Hellerup.

We develop and supply packaging solutions primarily for the beauty and personal care industry and work with manufacturing partners across Asia and Europe. We are also the company behind Ocean Waste Plastic (OWP), our own initiative for collecting and recycling ocean- and river plastic waste.

About the role

As our Quality Assurance Specialist, you will become part of a Quality team and report directly to the Head of Quality. You will work closely with the Head of Quality and Quality Assistants, as well as colleagues across Sales, Purchasing, Logistics and Product Development at our Danish headquarters.

You will also collaborate closely with our colleagues at our office in China and with manufacturing partners in both Asia and Europe.

The role has a strong focus on maintaining and developing our Quality Management System, supplier qualification, complaint and CAPA handling, audits, and ensuring that quality requirements are properly implemented and documented throughout our supply chain.

As Pack Tech operates in a fast-moving and customer-focused environment, an important part of the role is being able to balance solid QA processes with a practical and service-minded approach.

Your primary responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining and continuously improving our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality and Environmental Management Systems, including audits, procedures & records.

Managing supplier qualification and ongoing supplier evaluation and audits, including QA and documentation related to relevant packaging requirements.

Handling customer complaints, including CAPA and 8D processes, in cooperation with colleagues and manufacturing suppliers.

Coordinating customer audits of Pack Tech, including preparation, participation and follow-up.

Managing customer supplier qualification of Pack Tech, including questionnaires, documentation requests and follow-up.

Working closely with our China office on supplier quality, quality documentation and follow-up with manufacturing suppliers.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with experience or education within Quality Assurance, Quality Management or a related field.

You do not necessarily need to come from the packaging industry, but you should be comfortable working systematically with quality processes and documentation.

We expect that you:

Have experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 QMS processes.

Have a strong understanding of QA principles such as supplier qualification, audits, non-conformities, root cause analysis and CAPA.

Are structured and comfortable working with procedures and documentation without losing sight of practical business needs.

Have strong written and spoken English skills and communicate confidently with customers, suppliers and colleagues across the world.

Experience with packaging, plastics, PPWR or other regulatory requirements affecting packaging is an advantage but not a requirement.

The practicalities

The position is based at our headquarters in Hellerup (Greater Copenhagen), Denmark. Full-time presence in the office is expected, as the role involves close collaboration across departments.

Some travel should be expected in connection with audits with manufacturing suppliers in Europe.
