Procurement Manager

Responsibilities:

Formulate and implement procurement strategies in alignment with organizational objectives. Direct the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and contractual management of suppliers. Provide supervision and professional development to a team of procurement officers and analysts. Identify and pursue cost-reduction opportunities while upholding quality and regulatory compliance standards. Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Monitor prevailing market conditions and assess supplier risk to inform sourcing decisions. Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to organizational policy and relevant statutory requirements. Liaise with finance, operations, and other departments to accurately forecast procurement requirements. Compile comprehensive procurement reports and present performance metrics to senior management. 

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required. A Master's degree (MBA or MSc in Supply Chain Management/Procurement) is considered advantageous. Professional certification, such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), or CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional), is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain management is required, including no fewer than two (2) years in a senior or leadership capacity. Demonstrated experience in the negotiation and management of supplier contracts is essential.
