About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Compliance Manager to join our team playing a key role within the business. You will be working alongside a talented, like-minded team for some of Europe’s largest frozen food brands including Birdseye, Aunt Bessie, Findus and Goodfella pizzas.

Key Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax compliance and reporting across the Group, ensuring all UK tax obligations are met accurately, efficiently, and on time. The role provides critical support to the Head of Tax in managing corporate tax compliance, tax reporting and transfer pricing documentation.

By partnering closely with Finance, Treasury, shared finance centre and external advisers, this role helps minimise tax risk, maintain strong tax governance, and ensure the Group remains compliant with evolving tax legislation

Responsibilities

Preparation of UK Tax returns Prepare and coordinate the timely submission of UK corporation tax returns for UK group entities (31 December y/e) Calculate taxable profits, review tax adjustments, and ensure compliance with UK corporation tax legislation Prepare Corporate Interest Restriction (CIR) calculations, including monitoring interest capacity and utilisation of interest allowances across the UK group Perform annual Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) reviews to identify potential UK tax exposures and ensure appropriate reporting and documentation Prepare quarterly payment forecasts and calculations Preparation of UK Statutory Accounts Tax Provisions Prepare tax provisions for UK statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS requirements Calculate current and deferred tax balances, ensuring appropriate recognition and measurement of tax assets and liabilities Reconcile tax provisions to corporation tax returns and supporting schedules Support statutory audits by providing tax calculations, reconciliations, and responses to auditor queries Assisting with Group Tax provisions Support the preparation of consolidated group tax reporting under IFRS for quarterly and annual reporting cycles Assist with forecasting the group's effective tax rate Prepare supporting schedules for current and deferred tax balances across multiple jurisdictions Contribute to tax disclosures included within the consolidated financial statements and support external audit requirements Preparation of Transfer Pricing Local Files Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation, including Local Files, in line with OECD and UK transfer pricing requirements Coordinate with finance teams to gather and validate supporting business and financial information Document intercompany transactions and ensure transfer pricing policies are accurately reflected in the underlying documentation Support the Transfer Pricing Manager with transfer pricing audits, enquiries, and risk assessments Monitoring Withholding Tax Compliance Monitor interest payments made to external lenders and other relevant counterparties to ensure compliance with UK withholding tax requirements Review the availability of treaty reliefs, exemptions, and gross payment arrangements Ensure accurate preparation and timely submission of CT61 returns and settlement of withholding tax liabilities Maintain supporting documentation and monitor ongoing compliance with HMRC requirements Ad-hoc Assist in the collection, validation, and consolidation of data required for Country-by-Country Reporting obligations Support the preparation of Pillar Two calculations, compliance filings, and supporting documentation Monitor legislative developments and assist in implementing changes to reporting and compliance processes Calculate and prepare intercompany recharge schedules in accordance with group policies and transfer pricing requirements Ensure costs are allocated accurately and consistently across group entities

About you:

Professionally qualified accountant or tax adviser (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) Recently qualified (or qualified within the last 0-3 years) with experience gained in a tax advisory, tax compliance, or in-house tax environment Excellent communication skills across all levels within the organisation and the ability to deliver information both orally and in writing Good interpersonal and communication skills and acts in an independent and professional manner with the ability to influence others.
