Assist the Project Manager in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in line with the contract, client specifications, and tender requirements.
Prepare and update project schedules, including key milestones, material lead times, and deadlines.
Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation plans with the Project Manager.
Support project kick-off meetings, attend regular progress and site coordination meetings, and follow up on action items.
Supervise day-to-day site activities to ensure works are carried out according to project plans, approved drawings, method statements, and safety requirements.
Identify and resolve on-site technical and logistical issues, and escalate matters affecting cost, schedule, or safety to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual, quality, and safety obligations.
Verify that equipment and materials meet specified standards and approved submittals before and during installation.
Monitor and track project costs against the approved budget and highlight variances to the Project Manager.
Assist in planning and optimizing manpower, equipment, and material resources.
Prepare cost estimates and quantity take-offs, and support procurement activities such as obtaining quotations, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation.
Assist in preparing progress claims, variation orders, and supporting documents, in compliance with the timelines under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act.
Assist in preparing and implementing risk assessments, safe work procedures, and method statements, and ensure permit-to-work systems(e.g. work at height, hot work, confined space entry) are properly implemented.
Conduct regular site safety inspections and toolbox meetings, and ensure workers hold valid certifications and use the required personal protective equipment.
Ensure all project activities comply with company standards, client specifications, and applicable Singapore laws, codes, and standards.
Conduct periodic quality checks and inspections at different project phases and raise and close out non-conformance reports and defects.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including work schedules, progress reports, material approvals, inspection and test records, safety records, and inspection logs.
Assist in preparing and presenting technical proposals and project status updates during client meetings.
Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.
