Education:
No degree, certificate or diploma.
Work site environment:
Other miscellaneous animal farming. Hot. Outdoors. Work setting: Rural area. Remote location.
Tasks:
- Monitoring animal health.
- Organize tasks to accomplish the work.
- Work with honey bees.
- Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
- Supervise other workers.
Supervision:
1 to 2 people.
Apiary and honey harvesting experience:
- Apiary management.
- Detect bee diseases .
- Honey farm.
- Manage a set of measures designed to protect a beekeeper's honey bees from the entry and spread of pests.
- Oversee the honey extraction.
Equipment and machinery experience:
Forklift.
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
- Fast-paced environment.
- Physically demanding.
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
- Ability to work independently.
