Senior Backend Engineer Lead (FinTech / SaaS)

What you will do: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend APIs and platform services

Develop backend systems using Node.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL

Integrate with banking, payment, and financial APIs

Collaborate with cross-functional product and engineering teams on new platform capabilities

Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions

Ensure backend reliability, performance, and scalability

Support the development of fintech and SaaS product features for international markets

Work closely with overseas stakeholders and distributed engineering teams

What you will need: Strong backend engineering experience with modern JavaScript ecosystems

5+ years of experience with:

JavaScript

Node.js

API development

2+ years of experience with:

Express.js

PostgreSQL

System architecture / backend design

Experience building fintech, payment, marketplace, or SaaS platforms

Strong understanding of API design and backend system integration

Comfortable working in fast-paced startup or product-driven environments

Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently

Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Fluent English communication skills are essential

Ability to work flexible hours to collaborate with US-based teams

Candidates should already be based in Taipei
