Field Applications Engineer
Job Purpose
Focus on increasing both the quantity and quality of our sales to customers and key distributors through technical expertise and assistance in current sales efforts as well as innovation for new product development.
Responsibilities/Duties
You will be responsible for the completion of tasks in several areas of applications engineering:
- Working closely with targeted customers on new product design in and follow up with quote to win
- Driving growth within SEMI Test and Burn-in socket market
- Actively Driving “Designs Wins” as part of the job scopes
- Maintain and communicate industry-best understanding of technical trends driving our (and end-user)markets and competition
- Write application notes, and co-author technical papers
- Identify new product opportunities, and qualify, develop and champion development of our product offering (by application)
- Provide technical support for sales and marketing
- Contribute content to technical collateral materials
- Shared responsibility for sales into a specific target market/application(s)
- Take on the role of key technical expert for customers and sales channel
- Write detailed specifications and application notes for new products, ideas
- Define new products and new applications
- Solve customer application problems in a timely manner
- It is strictly prohibited to command or force operators to work at risk despite of regulations; Understand the risk factors, preventive actions and emergency plan for the accident in the related workplace; To use PPE correctly; Conduct accident prevention, and report any hidden danger or other unsafe factors immediately; Abide by the rules and regulations of safety production and operation rules; implement garbage classification
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, Mechanical, Electrical or a four-year technical degree required
- Professional experiences in a related background (Semiconductor or Burn-in related market as assigned) desired
- Professional level experience of 5 years require
- Ability to perform business correspondence, including technical writing, Semiconductor or Burn-in test experience required
- Travel %: Must be willing to travel approximately 30% - 40% of the time
