An organisation operating in the insurance industry, located in Singapore.
Job Description
Develop and implement strong security protocols, policies, and procedures within the technology department. Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in Information Security, Audit, or Risk Management roles, with significant exposure in financial services or similarly regulated industries Monitor and respond to security incidents to safeguard the organisation's systems and data. Good command of Information Security control areas including Authentication/Authorization, Access Controls, Entitlement, Cryptography, Encryption, Network, Application/System Security, and Key Management. In-depth knowledge of Vulnerability Management frameworks (OWASP, SANS) is essential. Proficiency in SDLC, Agile/Iterative, DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies, and their integration with comprehensive security assessments. Demonstrated understanding and application of the Singapore regulatory framework, local laws concerning information security, technology risk, and data protection (e.g., MAS TRM, PDPC PDPA). Strong familiarity with global standards such as ISO-27001, NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and their practical application. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Keen attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. Maintain and update security systems to stay ahead of emerging threats. Provide expert guidance on security best practices to stakeholders across the organisation. Oversee third-party security assessments and manage vendor relationships. Deliver regular reports on security performance and incidents to senior leadership.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Security Manager should have:
- Relevant qualifications in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of security principles, risk management, and compliance standards.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including monitoring and response systems.
- Proven ability to manage incidents and implement effective security solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various teams and present findings.
- Relevant Information Security Industry qualifications / certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, relevant SANS certifications, Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure), or equivalent industry recognized qualifications are mandatory.
