Interim Project Cost Accountant

This Interim role as a Project Cost Accountant in Oxford involves Leading the collection, validation, and auditing of cost data from all departments contributing to cost expenditure, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial accuracy for an exciting business. Description Prepare and maintain accurate project cost reports and forecasts. Monitor and track project expenses to ensure alignment with budgets. Analyse cost variances and provide actionable recommendations. Collaborate with project and programme managers to ensure financial targets are met. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and project status updates. Support month-end reporting by reconciling project costs and accruals. Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required. Profile A successful Interim Project Cost Accountant should have:

Previous experience as a Cost Accountant or Project Accountant Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with project teams.
