Senior Order Management Specialist (m/w/d)

Tasks

Responsibility for the processing and monitoring of customer orders (from order entry through delivery and invoicing) Reviewing customer orders for prices, terms, delivery times, availability, and contractual requirements Coordinating and collaborating with Finance, Logistics and other internal departments Monitoring the entire order-to-cash process and ensuring smooth operations Maintaining and updating customer, order, and master data in the ERP system Monitoring delivery dates and proactively communicating deviations, delays, or changes Processing order changes, cancellations, credit memos, and complaints Coordinating with Finance regarding invoicing, payment terms, open items, and, if applicable, credit limits Creating and maintaining reports and KPIs for order and delivery performance Identifying process issues and developing improvement measures Assisting with the optimization and standardization of order management processes

Profile

Completed business training or a college degree, ideally with a focus on business administration, logistics, supply chain, or a related field Professional experience in order management, customer service, sales operations, or a comparable cross-functional role

A solid understanding of business and financial concepts Understanding of the order-to-cash process and, ideally, experience with ERP systems Proficiency in Excel and reporting A structured, meticulous, and reliable approach to work Strong initiative and a hands-on mindset Highly service- and customer-oriented Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain a clear overview even when faced with last-minute changes
