Product Manager / Assistant Manager – Insurance
Our client is a leading insurer looking for a commercially minded Product Manager / Assistant Manager with a strong actuarial foundation to join its product team.
This is an opportunity to take ownership across the product lifecycle — from product design and pricing through to implementation, optimisation and ongoing performance management — while working closely with key stakeholders across the business.
The role will involve:
- Developing and enhancing insurance products from concept through to launch.
- Working closely with Pricing, Underwriting, Distribution and Operations teams to deliver commercially sustainable propositions.
- Assessing market and competitor trends to support product positioning and pricing decisions.
- Reviewing product performance, profitability and claims experience, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting regulatory submissions and ensuring products remain compliant with relevant requirements.
- Turning actuarial analysis into clear commercial recommendations and business decisions.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Part-qualified or qualified actuarial credentials, ideally with experience in pricing.
- Around 5–10 years of insurance experience, preferably spanning product development and/or pricing.
- Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability, with the ability to connect technical actuarial work to business outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
