Product & Regulatory Compliance Specialist
At LIEWOOD, we want every product that carries our name to be safe, responsible and compliant – across global markets and in a regulatory landscape that is constantly evolving.
We are looking for a Product & Regulatory Compliance Specialist to ensure that our products meet legal, safety and regulatory requirements, and to help shape the future compliance agenda of a growing international children's lifestyle brand.
In this role you will combine strategic regulatory ownership with hands-on execution and translate complex legislation into practical business solutions.
The role
You will own product compliance across multiple product categories and keep LIEWOOD ahead of new and emerging legislation.
Working closely with suppliers, certification bodies, laboratories and regulatory consultants, you will lead testing strategies and certification activities, and make sure our technical documentation is solid and up to date.
You will also help build the compliance setup of tomorrow – developing processes, SOPs and knowledge-sharing frameworks, and supporting colleagues across Design, Buying and Production, so that safe and compliant products are built in from the start.
Your responsibilities
Drive product safety and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle
Monitor and implement new regulatory requirements, including PPWR, GPSR, ESPR, DPP and other emerging legislation
Lead testing strategies, laboratory coordination, certification activities and technical documentation
Prepare and maintain technical files, Declarations of Conformity, risk assessments and compliance records
Partner closely with suppliers, certification bodies, laboratories and regulatory consultants
Support customer-specific compliance requirements and sustainability-related documentation
Develop compliance processes, SOPs and knowledge-sharing frameworks
Train and support internal stakeholders across Design, Buying and Production
Identify, assess and escalate compliance risks while driving continuous improvement across compliance processes
Who are you?
You are curious, structured and highly detail-oriented. You enjoy solving complex problems, building scalable processes and turning regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
You thrive in a collaborative environment but are equally comfortable taking ownership and working independently.
We imagine that you bring:
3-5+ years of experience within Product Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety or Quality Management
Strong knowledge of EU product legislation and testing requirements
Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers and testing laboratories
Experience with one or more of the following areas: children's products, toys, electronics, PPE, textiles, Food Contact Materials or consumer products
Experience implementing new regulatory requirements and managing product documentation
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across functions
Experience with GOTS, GRS and FSC certification is an advantage.
