Senior Legal Counsel - UAE Law

A UAE-based legal consultancy is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its team on a full-time, remote basis. This is an opportunity to take on a key role within a growing legal practice, working on a diverse range of matters and contributing to the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients in the UAE. Responsibilities:

Assess potential clients’ legal matters, respond to legal inquiries, and provide clear advice on available legal options and next steps.

Communicate directly with clients, understand their legal needs, explain the proposed course of action, and assist in defining the appropriate scope of legal services.

Coordinate and follow up on UAE litigation matters with the appointed litigation office, monitor case progress and deadlines, and keep clients regularly updated.

Conduct legal research and provide legal advice on UAE laws and regulations across litigation, corporate, and commercial matters.

Draft and review legal documents, including legal opinions, memoranda, agreements, legal notices, and other corporate and commercial documents.

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and advise clients on contractual risks and obligations.

Assist clients with corporate matters, including company formation and related legal and regulatory requirements.

Prepare legal articles and other professional legal content as required.

Skills & Technologies: Strong knowledge of UAE Law and UAE court procedures.

Practical experience in UAE Litigation and Corporate Law.

Strong Legal Research and Legal Drafting skills.

Contract Drafting, Review, and Negotiation.

Excellent Client Communication and Legal Advisory skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate and draft legal documents professionally in both English and Arabic.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple legal matters and deadlines.

Bachelor’s degree in Law.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.

Previous professional legal experience in the UAE is essential.

Strong practical knowledge of UAE laws, court procedures, litigation, corporate, and commercial matters.

Proven ability to assess legal matters, analyze cases, and provide clear and practical legal advice.

Strong experience in legal research, legal drafting, contract drafting, review, and negotiation.

Ability to draft professional legal documents, memoranda, agreements, correspondence, and legal opinions.

Excellent command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.

Strong ability to draft legal documents and professional correspondence in English.

Excellent client communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate confidently with clients, understand their legal needs, and explain legal options clearly.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters, follow deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.
