Cost Control Team Leader Engineer

Your tasks

• Lead and supervise the Cost Control team to ensure accurate and timely monitoring of project budgets and costs against approved targets.
• Oversee actual cost tracking, budget analysis, and variance reporting, ensuring corrective actions are identified and implemented.
• Review and consolidate cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and periodic cost reports across projects.

• Review variations, change orders, and claims, assessing their financial impact and coordinating with relevant departments.
• Monitor cost-to-complete, project profitability, and financial performance, highlighting potential overruns and recommending corrective actions.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities, financial risks, and opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of cost records, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Lead and support project teams in budget preparation, cost planning, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure timely and accurate cost reporting to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for decision-making.
• Develop and implement cost-control procedures, reporting standards, and best practices across projects.
• Monitor team performance, assign responsibilities, and provide guidance to enhance team productivity and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, approved budgets, and financial control procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Cost Control, preferably within the Fit-Out or Construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost forecasting, variance analysis, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to monitor project profitability, control costs, and manage financial risks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Excellent coordination and reporting skills.
