*Kitchens by Paul Holden* is a custom cabinetry manufacturer serving Quinte West and the surrounding area. We specialize in high-quality custom cabinetry, primarily for residential home builders, with occasional residential renovation projects.

We have an experienced, professional team and a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service. We are looking for a *Wood Finisher* to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

*The Position*

The Wood Finisher is responsible for preparing, finishing, and maintaining the quality of our custom wood products. This position involves both hands-on finishing work and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient finishing area.

*Previous finishing experience is an asset, but it is not required. Training will be provided to the right candidate.*

*Responsibilities*

  • Sand and prepare raw wood products for finishing
  • Perform surface preparation and finish sanding
  • Repair imperfections, damage, and defects in wood products
  • Set up and prepare spray and finishing equipment
  • Apply finishing materials to wood products
  • Hand-apply wiping stains, glazes, and similar products
  • Spray finishes using various types of finishing equipment
  • Colour match existing finishes
  • Inspect finished products to ensure consistent quality and appearance
  • Maintain established finishing and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot finishing issues and make adjustments as required
  • Shut down, clean, and maintain finishing equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

*Qualifications & Skills*

  • Previous education or experience in wood finishing is an asset, but *not required*
  • Willingness to learn and develop finishing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organized and able to manage priorities
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Takes pride in producing high-quality work
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibility as skills and experience develop

*Hours*

*Monday to Thursday:* 7:00 a.m. ? 4:30 p.m. *Friday:* 7:00 a.m. ? 3:30 p.m.

Occasional overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.

*Compensation*

*Wage:* Negotiable based on experience and skill level
