Key requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, information systems, statistics, computer science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
At least 7 years of relevant experience in data architecture, integration, quality, analytics, or governance.
Experience with education data is highly desirable.
Experience leading complex data workstreams and working independently across technical and non-technical teams.
Strong practical capability in SQL, data modeling, data cleaning, integration processes, and analytical tools such as Python, Power BI, or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to review, interpret, validate, and identify patterns in complex datasets.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Strong understanding of data privacy and responsible management of sensitive data, including data pseudonymisation (data masking), data minimisation, role-based access controls, secure data transfer, and retention controls.
Strong understanding of data quality principles, including data completeness, consistency, accuracy, reliability, and reconciliation.
Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills in English, with the ability to clearly communicate data findings and issues.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, diverse, and multicultural environment.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive student, staff, and organizational data.
Understanding of educational data and the principles of student learning and development is an advantage.
Familiarity with UAE educational standards and the local education environment is an advantage.
Arabic language skills and knowledge of causal AI are advantageous but not essential.
