Retail Assistant (PART-TIME)

Responsibilities
- Attend to walk-in customers and recommend suitable products based on their needs.
- Explain and demonstrate product features, basic setup and functionality.
- Process sales transactions using the ePOS system.
- Replenish stock and maintain neat, organised and attractive product displays.
- Monitor stock levels and highlight fast-moving or low-stock items.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking and organising stock.
- Attend to customer enquiries, exchanges and basic after-sales matters according to company guidelines.
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall presentation of the store.
- Support in-store promotions, campaigns and product launches.
- Support exhibitions, roadshows, pop-up events and other company activities at different locations when required.
- Perform other reasonable duties related to retail and event operations as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
- Friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with customers.
- Responsible, punctual and willing to learn.
- Comfortable with hands-on product demonstrations and basic troubleshooting.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Regular weekend availability is required.
- Able to work on public holidays when rostered.
- Willing to work at exhibitions, roadshows, pop-up events or other assigned locations when required.
- Prior retail or customer service experience is an advantage but not required.
- Interest in model trains, buses and collectibles is a plus.
